VC Prom aims to make this website usable by as many people as possible and to meet WCAG 2.2 Level AA where reasonably practicable. This statement describes the current rebuilt website without claiming certification or universal compatibility.
Accessibility commitment
Accessibility is considered in the website's navigation, catalogue, product pages, favourite dresses and editorial content. VC Prom intends to review the experience as content and services change.
Using the website
Visitors should be able to navigate key areas with a keyboard, follow visible focus indicators, zoom browser content and use responsive layouts that reflow across common screen sizes.
Motion is restrained and the website respects reduced-motion preferences for supported interactions.
Measures implemented
The rebuilt website uses semantic headings and landmarks, labelled controls, alternative text where media is available, visible focus styles, accessible disclosures and native interaction patterns where practical.
Keyboard and pointer behaviours are tested for global navigation, filters, galleries, favourite dresses and legal-page contents.
Testing undertaken
Automated axe checks and route-level Playwright accessibility checks form part of the repository test suite. Responsive, zoom-related layout, horizontal overflow, reduced motion and keyboard journeys are also reviewed.
Automated tools cannot identify every accessibility problem. The website has not been represented as tested with every browser, device or assistive-technology combination.
Known limitations
Some catalogue and campaign media depends on content supplied through Shopify or by the business. The usefulness of alternative text and image crops depends on that source content remaining accurate.
External services, including map content when enabled, may not provide the same accessibility behaviour as the VC Prom interface. Contact the boutique if an external service prevents you from obtaining the information you need.
Third-party content
Shopify supplies public catalogue data and Google Maps may provide location media only after the relevant visitor preference. Third-party services are responsible for their own accessibility, but VC Prom aims to provide core product, address and directions information in the page itself.
Physical boutique access
Please contact the boutique before your appointment if you have access requirements so the team can help you plan your visit. The website does not make unverified claims about step-free access, doorways, fitting rooms or other physical facilities.
Reporting an accessibility issue
If you cannot access information or complete a task, contact VC Prom and describe the page, device or assistive technology involved and the information you need. The team will consider the issue and an appropriate alternative where reasonably possible.
