About this notice
This notice covers cookies and similar browser technologies used on vcprom.com. It should be read with the Privacy policy.
What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small values that a website may ask a browser to store. Local storage is a related browser feature that can retain data for a website without sending that data automatically with every request.
These technologies can support necessary features or, when separately introduced, optional services such as analytics, marketing or external media.
Technologies currently used
VC Prom uses local storage for favourite dresses and consent preferences. Vercel Web Analytics is optional and does not set analytics cookies or use local storage for analytics. The site does not intentionally set advertising or behavioural-tracking cookies.
Ordinary hosting and security infrastructure may use strictly necessary technical mechanisms. The production configuration is reviewed when providers or platform settings change.
Favourite dresses storage
The favourites list starts when you choose to save a dress. It uses the local-storage key vcprom.appointment-shortlist.v1 and may contain style code, colour, dress route and product image for up to five dresses. It stores no preferred size.
It intentionally contains no name, email address, telephone number or payment information. It remains on the browser and device until you clear the favourites or remove website data through browser controls. Saving a favourite does not reserve a dress.
Necessary technologies
VC Prom treats favourites storage as necessary to provide the feature requested when a visitor saves a dress. Consent-preference storage is necessary to remember the visitor's choices.
Necessary technologies cannot be disabled through the consent interface. You can still remove stored data through the favourites page or browser controls, although doing so may reset the relevant feature.
Analytics
Vercel Web Analytics helps VC Prom understand visits to public pages using aggregated data. It does not set analytics cookies. Page views are sent only if you choose Analytics in the consent interface.
Private appointment pages and development routes are excluded. Query parameters and fragments are removed from tracked URLs. You can turn Analytics off again through Cookie settings in the footer; later page views will no longer be sent.
Marketing
No advertising pixel, behavioural advertising or marketing-tracking service is currently installed. Marketing remains fixed off and is not presented as a choice in the consent interface.
Any future marketing technology must be assessed before it is introduced and must respect the applicable consent choice.
Third-party services
Google Maps location media is treated as optional external media and loads only when that preference is allowed. A normal directions link remains available without loading the embedded map.
Online appointments use the Operations Centre API and its database. Booking contact details are submitted when you confirm and are not stored in browser favourites or cookie preferences. Messaging providers are assessed separately from this browser-storage policy.
Consent preferences
The website stores preferences under vcprom.consent.v2. The record includes the preference version, necessary status, analytics and external-media choices, a fixed-off marketing field and the time the choice was updated.
Analytics and external media are off by default. You can reopen Cookie settings in the footer and change either choice. Necessary storage remains enabled because it records the choice and supports features you request.
Browser controls
Most browsers let you inspect, block or delete cookies and local storage. Blocking all storage may prevent favourites and saved consent choices from working as expected.
Clearing browser data removes favourites and the consent record from that browser. It does not cancel an appointment or erase details you submitted with an online booking or by telephone.
Changes to this policy
This policy and the consent interface will be reviewed when analytics, marketing or other third-party browser technologies change. The updated date is shown at the top of the page.
